Question Strange "Search Result" window...

Hello, I'm new to this forum. I'm ElektroBabe....love anything that's got to do with digital media.

I have a huge problem though:

When I try to conduct a search, I type in my search criteria, and then when I hit the 'search' button, something very strange happens. The window where the search results have to appear, turns gray for me. All I see is a large gray box, and my search criteria dissapears.

I am using an iMac OS X Panther v.10.3.3

Can anyone please help me???

Cheers,
ElektroBabe

Hi there, EB...

Please say what version of LimeWire you are using...
(Well, I am guessing that it is LimeWire !)

Also, please mention if your LW installation is a fresh / first time install or an update...

And, yes, I moved your post to here as it will be better for you...

I am using Limewire 3.8.10, and it is a fresh install.

By the way Ursula, thanks for helping me move the post I wasn't sure where to start the thread because I'm new to this forum.

So Strange.....as soon as I press the search buttom, this huge gray box just pop us over the search result window.....

When I first installed this Limewire a few days ago, I managed to conduct one search. I downloaded one song successfully, and closed the program. After a few hours, I logged back in, and the problem started.

Oh yeah, and I already set up my firewall especially for Gnutella, so I know for sure its not a firewall problem.

Salut, It's definitly not a firewall issue.... Have you updated your java in software update? If so, try the new beta http://www.limewire.com/english/content/beta.shtml and if it contitues try changing theme to see if it has an effect in the display menu.

Bonne chance
