cant open my limewire
 

Hi,

I have a Mac and I am running OSX. I do not use Limewire pro. I have been using Limewire for several months and about a week ago I tried to upgrade to version 4.0.5. For some reason( I don't remember why) I trashed my old version of Limewire before reinstalling the 4.0.5 version. However when I try to reinstall I only get the upgrade option(not ann install option) and When it's finished upgrading I dont get any limewire icon and ther is no way to start the program. All I have is the dmg icon and the installer icon on my descktop. Please help me. If you have any ideas I would love to hear them.

Hmm--did you try just doubleclicking the Limewire icon in the Applications folder? (you can always drag the icon to the dock to create a shortcut). I'm guessing you did go through with the update button from the .dmg installer.

The installer will show the update feature because the prefs are still in the Library even when the LimeWire folder is deleted from the Applications folder.
