It's not a free/shareware utility. You should be able to get it at any apple outlet. See http://www.alsoft.com/DiskWarrior/ Personally I use both DW & Norton Utilities 8 (extremely important to keep Norton totally up to date for OSX!) Both share same & different abilities. There's other options like TechTool Pro instead of Norton but there's some differences in xtra functions.

Lightbulb Solution?

I've also just been experiencing the Limewire "unexpectedly quit" problem - but I've fixed it!
The problem was caused when I turned off all of my fonts in font book (i was trying to fix a font conflict).
Without the fonts loaded, Java does the "unexpectedly quit" act. And because Limewire is a Java app, it also quits.
By just turning my fonts back on Java and Limewire are working again.
So check all your system fonts are loaded - this could be a simple solution.

Cheers,
deano

Nice tip! If there's a missing font problem, I think the next LW already has put in a font check.

(@LOTR: btw, system reinstalls are pretty drastic/last resorts. Intermediary step would be to install in a new admin user account to isolate a home account problem).

Excellent tip thanks! I'll adjust anywhere I find I've suggested the other.
