Default Installs NOTHING...

Is anyone else having this problem: I downloaded the 4.8 upgrade. I went through the installer. It appeared to install. It did not. I try again. I check at the "which volume to install on" step. It says it requires 0 bytes. ?!? This installer package is over 4MB! I looked through the installer package, there's a couple .gz files of good size (they don't unzip into anything I can use, I assume that's the installer's job). Why will it not install the goods? Please advise.

1. Double-click the harddrive icon, open the Library, open the Receipts folder, then find the file: Install LimeWire.pkg, delete it and try again.

2. Also do a SAFE Boot & Repair Permissions

Ahh. I think that did it. Thank you so much. Wonder what caused it do that. Oh well...

According to Stief: "You get the "null" message in the Apple installer when a OS X thinks a more recent version is installed."
