I'm running a G5 iMac with Panther- I upgrade to Pro and since have upgraded to Limewire 4.8.1. Now, unless a file shows that it has 3 or more sources, it seems to be impossible to connect. This was not true with the free verison of Limewire.

What am I doing wrong?

Whilst LW is closed, delete your LW Preferences folder: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

Also, just to clean things up a bit ... within LW's download window, click on the top of the Progress bar column. This will arrange files by % downlded. Select the 1st with 0% then scroll down to the last one & holding down the SHIFT key select it so all those at 0% are selected. Then press the Stop button. Now go to the incomplete folder & view it in list mode. Then click on the size column so all files are listed in order of size. Select the 1st on the list at 0 KB then scroll down to the last & select it holding down the SHIFT key select it so all those at 0 KB are selected. Then press apple & delete keys to send them all to the trash. You'll find this will make significant differences to LW's starting up & settling process & time, & allow you to use LW more effectively.

As far as success of a file having 3 or more or less sources for downld really depends on many factors including luck.

I'll give it a try.
