paid for pro but don't seem to have it and keep getting upgrade messages
 

i paid for for Pro $52.92 dollars and am not sure as to what to do now. I keep getting "Do you want to upgrade to Pro" messages - so am assuming I'm not hooked up to Pro.

I'm not very computer literate so could you please explain in laymans terms what I'm suppossed to do in this situation.

LW pro costs $18.88 so I think you've been scammed. And you only have the LW Basic version not the pro version. I would advise you to cancel your transaction with your bank/credit company ASAP. See http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...5&pagenumber=1

Well, I've got the same problem except that I did pay the right amount to the right folk.

I'd been using the free version of Limewire for some time now and just noticed that the version I was using was quite old. I upgraded from 4.2 to 4.8 but seeing little improvement, realized that it was time to go "pro" and went right back and purchased that version.

I paid for pro too and it is still asking me to upgrade when i open limewire. I sent an email to the support people and they still have not emailed me back.

If you pay for pro you will receive an email from customer support with a link to your personal downld page. You can check here: HERE (click on link) Otherwise you might not have got it from LW but a scam site.

i got the link and a password and screename emailed to me but whenever i open limewire it asks me to upgrade

Upgrade to pro or upgrade to 4.8.1? Version 4.8.0 & earlier to about 4.2 had a security issue. That's why people need to update.

Once you have found your personal downld page, then download the LW program & install it. You have either the 4.8.0 version or inadvertently installed the basic version.

I became 6 months a member and I downloaded this WirePro. I just read all your mails and I have exactly all the problems you guys are explaning.

What the hell is all this about? Ofcourse I can't ask that money back anymore (52 Dollars) life time membership with upgreades and all if somebody has ripped me off. 6 months has passed and You know what: I have not even have any email (even once) from this company saying welcome and this is your username and password.

Not they tell me you are not a member. Who has my money then? The one who has my money, has to be found and has to be F;;;d.

i am tired of this note saying you have to upgrade. I had English version dwloaded and now I have suddenyly german menu and german interface infront of my eyes when I eneter LimeWire to download.

It is slow, very slow. It is just sucks.

I guess the company I bought, (I dont remember which company it was, but it might have been mymusicinc.com but i am not sure if paid them.

I need to go to my bank and see if they can find out to which company I paid that f;;; money.

Please help me. How can we prevent other people not going through the same ****?

If you're too lazy to become a forum member then we're too lazy to send you personal emails. As stated above, using your email as a username is against the forum rules. Anybody might come thru the forum & grab your email & add it to their spam list, etc.

Well it certainly wasn't LW who got your money. It was a scam site. And they give you the free version of LW, not the pro version. If you get LW from the official site then you know what you're getting.

I've had limewire for almost a year and yesterday I upgraded to pro and I can't seem to get to download. I have taken the time to read many of the questions and answers in the forums and I've joined the forum trying to get my limewire to work properly again. I posted a message yesterday and no one has responded to my message at all. Hopefully. . .if I had a thread to this message I will get a response. This is the message I posted. Please help me out.

I've been using limewire for the past year with no problems. I upgraded to limewire pro 4.9.11 Pro this morning, now I can't get anything to download. Limewire shows that I have turbo-charged connection, I get good searches, but when I click to download a song, nothing happens. In the download section on the bottom none of the icons are in color. They are all in grey.

I'm running MacOSX 10.2.8. I upgraded to limewire pro 4.9.11 Pro. My java verision is 1.4.1_01. I have a Mac G4 with 512 MB memory, I have a dsl connection with earthlink. I have a wireless connection to my gateway solo 5300 laptop using dlinks wireless router DI-624.

I don't know much about firewalls. I went to my system preferences to file sharing and clicked on firewalls. Limeware is showing and I clicked on it and tried my limewire again. I changed back the file sharing preferences nothing still works. Now I'm confused to how my firewalls are to be set up.

Can someone give me help to get this limewire working again? I would really appreciate i
