Please lock, problem solved.

Whenever I try to install Limewire, I'll donload it and my Mac will respond "the Disk Image failed to mount."

I'm new to Macs, so I may have missed something, but I have tried downloading in a different browser, and I have installed new stuff constantly in the few days I've had it, and everything else has worked fine.

Re-edit: Nevermind, the link in that thread failed to mount as well.

So is problem solved? Generally Explorer & Netscape have difficulty downlding dmg files. You often end up with incomplete files which is why it's recommended you use Safari instead. If still problems with Safari, then drag & drop the dmg onto Disk Copy instead of double-clicking it. It might also be wise to set verification under DiskCopy's prefs to not do.

So when I go to download it, I just drag it onto the hard disk in Finder?

Thanks for your help.

Drag & drop it onto Disk Copy. You'll find it in your Utilities folder. Go menu Go To ... Utilities folder & find Disk Copy. The dmg will then mount onto the desktop.

Ah, I see. Thanks again, I'm guessing this was probably a pretty n00bish question.
