Damsell in distress! Unable to 'connet' to LimeWire using 10.4.2

Hi,

I have recently moved back to a mac after having to work with a PC for a year. I definately remeber limewire working on my previous mac, but I have had no joy this time.

Symptoms:
Connects fine on start up, searches fine for files, any chosen for download go at a rate of between 0 - 1 KB/s, yawn, then I get a message saying that 'limewire detects no active internet connection and that I have a firewall blocking this'.

I have followed limewire's instructions to add 'limewire' onto the list of allowed programs on the firewall, as it was not listed on my drop down list, I have added the port settings manually (as per advised on another thread).

This has made no difference.

I use the internet at home and use a D-link wireless router on the TalkTalk ISP.

Any ideas on what's going wrong for me? I would be SOOOOOO grateful.
