HELP - Limewire loads....then quits.

I'm running OSX version 10.3.9 on the Mac.

Yesterday I loaded Limewire version 4.9.23 and it worked just fine. Today it starts to load....then just quits.

I have done the java update per Limewire's note and I'm still getting the same error.

Any ideas?

As always, thanks in advance!

same pb

Hi, I too have the same problem. Mac OS 10.3.9 (Panther). It won't load beyond the 'HTML engine' message. Tried removing all files relating to program and redownloaded, no change. What's more is the Limewire 4.9.33 ends up being 4.9.23 for Mac users. What needs to be done?

Try downloading and installing the Beta 4.9.35 version. Let us know if it works. It has worked for others.

Same problem with Limewire 4.9..... and OSX 10.3.9 starts to open and then just quits... I use 4.2.6 now and it seems to work ok...I just have to say no to pro and no to update " EVERY TIME I START THE PROGRAM "

If someone has a solution it would be nice...

Did you try reinstalling Java?: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...update142.html

This is a little different to the suggestion at the LW site. But it often does the trick. If you have difficulty installing it, Double-click the harddrive icon, open the Library, open the Receipts folder, then find the file: Java142Update2.pkg, delete it and try again. Receipts folder sample image
