I have downloaded the LimeWire OSX.dmg from the official LimeWire site several times using Safari. Every time it fails to mount because it is not recognized. I am running Tiger and everything is completely updated. Not sure what the problem is does anyone have a suggestion?

i had this same trouble today. does anyone know what is up or have a solution?

i'm posting this here because i seem to be having a similar trouble that these people did, though it is not quite the same.

i am running OSX version 10.4.2

i downloaded limewire basic 4.9.33 with Safari. When I tried to open LimeWireOSX.dmg, however, i get a window titled 'warning.' it says "The following disk images failed to mount" in 'image' column: "LimeWireOSX.dmg" in the 'reason' column: "not recognized"

any thoughts or advice?

sorry, i didn't mean to start a new thread but actually intended this all to be a link in the thread about .dmg wanting to be opened by excel.

but anyhow, the good news is that i tried a second time and it actually worked!

why? we may never know...but i don't mind.
