Mac OSX Problems with installing LimeWire or WireShare for Mac OSX users |

![]() Hey all, im new to a mac, new to this forum, but not new to lime wire. I can not figure out how to get limewire downloaded. I went to limewire.com and hit download, file downloaded and put LimeWireSoftOSX on my desktop. When I click on that icon this message pops up "Couldn't open file LimeWireSoftOSX because it is not a file that QuickTime understands" Im confused ![]() BTW I tryed a search but didnt come up with anything. Thanks in advance. |

![]() Oops--I don't recognize the download file name "LimeWireSoftOSX" Hope you didn't pay for it (quite a few people have been scammed" into paying for the free limewire). LW is free and officially available from www.limewire.com Try the download from there, and use Safari for your browsing on a Mac: Internet Explorer is pretty outdated for OS X. cheers |
