Disk Problem When I go to download a song everything goes fine but then once it goes to the verify file content part it then says DISK PROBLEM. What does this mean? How do I fix it? Please help. |
that probably means the file can't be saved (probably the disk is full) Shutdown the computer for 2 minutes to clear the memory, then restart in Safe Boot Mode (hold down the shift key once you hear the startup tone). Restart again normally, and see how much free space you have. |
the only problem with that is it sounds like that would be for starting a PC and I'm using a Mac. Sorry I should have stated that in the question. But I have approximately 27GB of space on my hard drive. Im also running version 4.9.4 PRO for Mac OSX (10.4.3). |
Safe Boot is the standard Mac way to verify and repair your disk http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107392 However, I'm recently seeing some temporary freezing problems that happen when verifying a file (with 10.4.3 on an iBook). Safe boot and permissions repair fixed that last time. Maybe it's related, but I'm not a coder. Anyway, more info needed. Check the permissions on your Save folder, for starts. |
