I need help Limewire friends. I just purchased Limewire Pro and its stopped working I am on a Mac and using 10.4.3 - Please anyone can help me it worked last week I downloaded some music and now I cant download a thing. Was looking to download porn - What's the deal yo!

The 2 things I'd suggest are:

1. Try deleting the Limewire preferences whilst LW's closed. The file is found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

2. If that doesn't do the trick, re-install Java but "only" using the "Offline" standalone Java installer. Java 1.4.2 for Tiger (click on link) I think is the newest one. However, if you're using Java 1.5 then get it here http://developer.apple.com/java/download/

Hi - I update my Java for Tiger and my question is in the Preferences in LW there are many - do i delete all of that is in that folder.. This issue didnt occur until i paid for Pro.. I love LW please help fix my problem.

Sorry I was slow to respond ... yes ... delete the entire folder, but be sure it's the one within your preferences folder. Someone suggested to me about a year ago it's best to delete the LW prefs after updating to pro.

I got it too work - but i have too seem to keep deleting the prefrences it looses the search mode for some reason. Since you have been great help - How do I chat with others when the have the smiley chat face.. can you actually chat with that user? Thanks again!

You shouldn't need to keep deleting the LW prefs. Don't forget your settings for LW under the Limewire name at top left of menu bar. Or use the command (apple key) & comma. Then select your options.

As far as chat goes, well you need to remember that many people leave their LW running overnight or whilst they're at work, school or play, or in the background whilst they're doing other things. So chat doesn't often work as well as you might hope. Having chat enabled does howeve help with browsing from some reason.
