Angry Getting booted off a lot

I downloaded Limewire last week and then Limewire Pro Saturday. I've been having a problem with getting booted off a lot....as a matter of fact I just did while writing this message. Limewire will sometimes shut down after the connection is lost. I then have to restart Limewire and reconnect. I've tried restarting and shutting my iMac off then starting. I'm running OS 10.3.5. I know it's not my ISP because my daughter also has Limewire loaded on her PC and hasn't had the same issue. I also called my ISP the other night, irritated, blaming them. There was no problem on their end. Unfortunately I live in B.F.E. and I'm on a damn 56k modem. Are there any settings I need to change?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Karen
