A solution for Limewwire not working on OS X 10.4.4 / Intel iMacs No matter what I did, I couldn't get Limewire 4.10.3 to work on my new Intel iMac. The solution for me was to install Phex which appears to be a Limewire clone. Works beautifully. http://phex.kouk.de/mambo/content/view/17/29/ Paul |
That's fine. But LW have addressed the issue very quickly (within a day or 2 of it being reported), & have thus released LW 4.10.5 which fixes the problem. See the fixes here http://www.limewire.com/english/cont..._history.shtml And get the LW beta here http://www.limewire.com/english/content/beta.shtml Pro users can find a link to the pro beta at the bottom of their personal downld page. BTW Phex is a good program. A little different to LW but a good program all the same & is also open source. :) Phex is not a LW clone but may well use some of the same internal workings from the open source community which of course LW provides for them. |
Thanks LOTR, I didn't realise that the fix was out. I will download it now. : ) Paul |
