![]() Been using Limewire on my G4 running Tiger, with no problems. Recently bought a G5 system and the installation of Limewire crashes. Am not using the new QuickTime version, but kept the older version 7.0.1. Reinstalled Java, repaired permissions under a safe startup. Still no luck. Having a similar problem with Adobe CS2 Photoshop and Illustrator, but not InDesign (works fine). Any ideas? |

![]() How long after you open LW does it crash? Do you do any searches after you open LW? How much RAM & how much spare space on your OSX partition/HDD do you have? Do you run LW from the OSX applications folder or from a different partition or HDD? Before you open LW, go to Utilities folder & open Activity Monitor. Keep track of how much ram, cpu & VM (Virtual Memory) LW uses as you do different things with LW. Tell us if you see VM increase dramatically after doing a search. |

![]() It never actually launches. It quits while it is opening, therefore I never even get to the Search window. I run it from the applications folder. RAM is not a problem. I have twim processors with 1Gb of RAM. Activity Monitor doesn't help because the program never gets that far to show anything. |
