Old Folky is flying high
Unhappy All good til I keyboard

Thanks, in advance, for any thoughts. Apologies for being long-winded in my explanation.

Updated LW last Thursday
Opened fine with three songs from previous LW downloading. Problem - menu is blank but appears in sections when clicked on - when artist's name was entered, his name did not appear at the top of the folder and songs would only appear when clicked on- again, only in segments

Shut LW and tried again- with same result.

Opened FireFox to reach LW site -Firefox shut down when I tried to put text into Goggle search

Any application (ITunes, Appleworks) will open but will shut down as soon as keyboarding of text is attempted
Message each time - "The application (name) has unexpectedly quit. The system and other
applications have not been affected"

Tried to access System Preferences but clicking on Apple icon - left corner main menu- made Main Menu bar and desktop icons disappear for a few seconds and then appear again.
Also, using Finder is useless- shut down when text is entered in search .

Looked through hard drive and jettisoned anything LimeWire.

Using OS 10.2.8 G4 768 RAM

PS- Keyboard works in Classic System 9

Jaguar users have recently been having problems with the newer version of LW. Their problem was fixed by changing skin or version. But yours sounds severe!

How much ram do you have?

Howe much available HDD space do you have?

What's the cpu speed of your computer?

Which version of LW & Java do you have? (you can check by going to menu bar, clicking on Limewire next to apple icon in far left corner & selecting About LW.

Make sure you have the final Java update for Jaguar 10.2.8
Try changing your skin & see if that helps. Go to LW's menu bar, View>Change Skin.
