Default Limewire pro will not install, free version will?

Hi,
Im a newbie who just recently upgraded to os X 10.3.9.
I cannot seem to get limewire pro to install.
When i click on the hard drive to install i get this error message...You Cannot install this software on this volume(null). There is lots of room availaible so thats not the problem. I downloaded the free version and it installed with no problems.
Anyone have any thoughts on this problem? I would like to use the pro version if possible as i hear its much faster..
Also, the free version is working fine so far, should i download the java security update only if i have a problem?
Thanks
shawn
