![]() Hi, I can't seem to get beyond the "Loading Messages" so LW will start again. I think I may have too many downloads in progress. In the past I was able to simply wait, sometimes 15 minutes, to get LW running. Now, after hours of waiting, LW does not start and then I get a "you do appear to have an active connection", even though I hit the connect button numerous times, which normally does work after patiently waiting. But not anymore. What do I do? Is any way to clear out partial loads, which I suspect is the problem? Thanks in advance. |

![]() Thanks for the advice. I'm sure getting greedy on the number of downloads is the original cause of the problem, although in the past I had many more downloads, or files waiting for downloading, compared to now. My problem now is that LW is stuck "Loading Old Downloads" which never complete (have waited all day) so I can't even get a chance to Cancel any. When I go to Library, to delete Incomplete files, LW totally freezes and I have to kill it. I'll try to be patient again and see if the "Loading Old Downloads" completes but I may have to go to more extreme measures - unload LW software and the reload??? - if that would work. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, your the best! |

![]() I'm running windows so I don't know if this is right for Mac. You should be able to delete your incomplete files by going to the incomplete folder with LW closed. The default location is c:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Incomplete. Delete the incomplete files from there and then try running LW.

![]() Using MacOSX10.3.9 I find that Limewire will not close down properly unless all downloads are cleared from the download window (I don't think this is the case with Windows). On occasions when I have somehow managed to close without clearing the downloads pane I cannot get LW to connect. Starting up with a clear downolads window seems to be esential. I will then resume incompleted 3 or 4 at a time from the Library tab .. Starting too many incompletes at once always gives problems. I hope this helps. |
