Installs, but then what?
 

I am a mac user as of a week ago and am having some trouble running LW. I have a MacOSX Version 10.4.6. After downloading the basic LW, on my desktop I see two new icons: LimeWire and LimeWireOSX.dmg. When I click the dmg, it expands into nothing. Weird. Clicking the LimeWire icon begins the installation wizard, but after finishing the wizard, nothing new shows up. Nothing is in the dock, and when I click the LimeWire icon again, it asks me to install again. Please help me.

If you downloaded it with Explorer then I'd suggest redownlding it with Safari instead. Explorer does not have the ability to handle dmg files properly & you may end up with a incomplete file.

Also, make sure you're using Java 1.5 & not Java 1.4.2; Setting up Java 1.5

Also be aware of this: QuickTime 7.0.4 bug stops LimeWire from opening!

I had the same exact problem, Its quite simple... just go to your Hardrive and look in your applications folder, there should be a Limewire folder in there, and the lime icon is in that folder. You can move it to your dock for easier access.
