Everything looks normal & acceptable except Picture 6.pdf. That looks hazardous & I'm not surprised you're having problems. You need to free up space on your system OS. By the sounds of it you only have one HDD. Free up space ... I'm surprised it doesn't also affect Photoshop because it uses a lot of VM by nature. What you failed to show in one of your 1st 2 images is how much virtual memory (VM) you're using. You missed that column out. But the same applies ... all OSX programs use VM & you must thus have at least a handful of free GB's. I'd recommend at least 10 GB of free disk space measured whilst there's no programs running on OSX.

If you respond I might not get back to you until tomorrow if that's ok with you.

yeah, ok go and play... didn't you get the attachments?
ok, so any idea where I can move things? my external hard drive is travelling and will arrive with our furniture some time soon I hope, at which point I'll move my Itunes, but like it seems that although the disk usage is full, there is still space on the system memory... so what can I move there? any ideas?
BTW where are u and what time is it over there?

Isn't VM showed under picture 4, to the right, second line? looks like there's not much left either...

Well actually I'm using a lot more VM than you are but ... I have a lot more ram & HDD space available. I also have a lot of incompletes which adds to VM & also running classic mode. BTW I'm 7 hours ahead of you.

Well, good morning to you! or should I say, good afternoon? ;-D
yeah, but you have more of everything... and I still heven't solved my problem- I now only have 11.69 GB free, and other than waiting for my external hard drive to be shipped, and burning some DVDs... dunno what I can do.

Hey,
how about archiving files? wouldn't that clear some disk space?
can I archive stuff and erase the original or is that hazardous?
