Couldn't connect anymore ?! Since few weeks I couldn 't go online anymore with LW 4.12.10. I couldn 't re-install Security Update 2005-002 as it is suggest in the forum (First I put away on the desktop S.Upd. 2005 receipt, then all S.Upd. receipts, at the end S.Upd. packages too) But Installer still refuse to proceed. I try also to delete whole LW Prefs. What more could I do ? http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...owLimeWire.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...fslimeWire.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h249/cldjr/Pref.jpg |

Sorry for late reply. I just got the info. 1/ Type Connection : Wireless 2.4Ghz, 32kbps sharing bandwidth 2/ The connection is received by Wireless Access Point which we installed with the antenna and directly goes to the computer. The acess point model: SENAO 2611CB3 PLUS, 2.4 GHz 802.11b The router in Base station (my provider): PC Router with OpenBSD system v3.8. 3/ ISP: CITRA I didn't make any change on the Mac it self and Safari or Firefox goes online wihout problem. Only LimeWire says is blocked by a Firewall. Which normally souldn't be, Sharing Pref. Firewall allow him ! |

My 'Guess' is then that the router at the ISP is the issue. You have no control over that. You could try asking them to open port 6346. There may not be too many options when they have control over the device (most high speed modems/routers have internal NAT firewalls.) It sounds like it doesn't support UPnP or else the distance between means your computer has no control over it which sounds more likely. You might try changing connection ports to one between 49152 - 65535 but same issue most likely. Another few ports to try are port 80, 443, 427, 1111. To change connection port, go to LW's prefs & choose Advanced -> Firewalls. Change both connection & listening ports. Or at least listening port. Turn your OSX firewall off temporarily over this time. If it works then set a OSX firewall rule for that port & then turn it back on. |

Thanks to you. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/images.../Smilywais.gif I solve my connection problem. Before try others port as you told me, I though LW prefs could have been corrupted and I take them away on my desktop and restart. After fix my new prefs, LW start and get a full connection without any problem... |

BTW for the earlier version LW: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/265025-post48.html. But you would need to delete your LW prefs folder first, otherwise the older version will behave very oddly & not as well as it should. It has different behaviour to the newer versions. |
