Default installing 2.1.3 on osx

I can't get the program to install. Any tips how to get it going? Once I double click the installer it goes to the dock to install then just stops.

Does anything come up visually at all when you run the installer? You do get a file called "install" with a pretty icon of a drive on it, right?

Can you give me more information about exactly what happens? What appears in the installer? Does it fail right away, or does it fail after you go through some of the installation steps?

I figured it out. I had to get the OS X Installer Update from Apple. Once that was installed it worked without any problems. Thanks

I'm having the same problem. I can unstuff the file to get a new icon named Install. I launch it, see the dock expand just a bit and immediately quit. As far as I know, I have the latest Apple installer. I've tried it on my G4 Dual 800, iMac 700 and G3 450, all running 10.1.2. Same results every time.

Have you tried running OS X's Updater to get the new version of the Apple installer? This seems to have solved the problem for some users.

Yes, I have run the installer update on all 3 machines, but I still get the same result. Other suggestions?
