![]() I fear this may be dumb but I can't get an installer. Download gives me an "install app" which opens to a folder "contents". Opening this gives me 4 subfolders: MacOS, info.plist, pkg.info, and Resources. Opening each and every one of these takes me no further down the path- either they don't have an app to open them (all things currently up-to-date ->v10.1.2,...)., or I get text gibberish. I tried to open in 9.2.1, but no different. At no time, did I see what I normally construe as an installer. Running on a Pismo 400mhz/20gb/324 mb. No problems otherwise with 10.1.2. Thanks! |

![]() There is an issue if there is already a file called "install" in the directory where you downloaded the LimeWire installer. This is because the old file called install is really install.app. When the new installer tries to uncompress, it uncompresses to "install.app(2)", or something like that. The point is that the number of the file gets appended to the end, which causes OSX to no longer recognize it as an app file, but instead to read it as a package. The solution should just be to delete any file called "install" in the directory where you download LimeWire, which should allow the installer to uncompress normally. |
