 Limewire on OSX slow slow slow Hi, On the whole limewire is great, but it's just so slow compared with the OS9 version. Have plenty of memory (256MB), high processor (600mhz), all my other apps run fine as does the OS itself. Downloading is fast, as fast or faster than other apps, but the actual GUI is sluggish. Clicking on a button will take 1 or 2 seconds to respond, redraw is terrible, especially when collapsing windows with 'windowshadeX' (possibly clashing) in which case all I get is a blank page. Resizing the windows or columns or switching between tabs, forget it. In comparison Limwire for OS9 runs perfect in classic mode. Is this just me or is everyone experiencing this?  |
