Default limewire 2.1.3 won't quit, and other questions

Hi,

three questions:

1. For some reason the version 2 build of limewire X won't let me quit it. Pressing cmd - q, or selecting it from the menu, simply "hides" it in the dock, the way choosing "close" does. I end up having to force quit the program.

ANyone else having this problem? Could it be a problem that I'm running classic simultaneously?

2. I use norton personal firewall for mac. Since the 2x build came along I haven't gotten a single request for uploads. I'm not going to turn off the firewall or allow calls to it, but what's different in this version that prevents people from getting my files?

3. I am concerned about the bundled software debate. I'm wondering what softwares are bundled with the macintosh 9.2 and X installs of LW 2.1.3, and how I might go about deleting them. IS THERE AN ADAWARE-type program FOR MAC?

Peace,
Gratis

Default Yes!

I'm having that same problem with quitting in LimeWire X 2.0... which is weird because I haven't installed the latest version of LimeWire, and this didn't used to happen with LimeWire X 2.0. Something really weird is going on here.... I can't install ANY version of LimeWire either because of the annoying hanging progress bar bug which I detailed in other threads.

Default me too

I also have the the same problem. However, I notice that it only wouldn't quit if you had minimized it in the dock prior to quiting. The solution is to use cmd-H and hide instead of minimizing it to the dock. You should be able to cmd-Q and quit anytime after. It works for me. Give it a shot.

Unhappy same here-

I have the same problem- I don't think I've been minimizing it, either. I wound up doing a force quit to bail...

Given that I can't download anything anyway (wait for busy, then can not download messages), I guess it isn't much of an issue. I paid for the Pro, installed on OS X, and haven't downloaded one single thing since. This is really frustrating. Who are you all writing to? I want to add my name to the pile...
