I try to download limewire and it shows up in the dock and bouces then goes away. I have tried some of the other troubleshooting & nothing works. I was able to use the earlier version fine. Is there anything else we can do?

Stay with the old version.

Seriously.

There is no great benefit in "updating" and you will probably save yourself much pain as you may note if you peruse these forums.

i dont know how to get to the old version again, i cannot find a link to it. do you have one?

Check your browser downloads folder. You may still have the older version installer. Other than that you'd need to jump back a few versions: Lime Wire » Download Out-Of-Date Installers

same problem happens when i try to download an earlier version. it bouces in the dock and then goes away. I went through all the limewire downloads and i must have deleted everything, i dont know if i deleted something that would make it work? If there is anything else please let me know, or if you know another music downloading software that would be nice, i need my music haha.
