I am using OS9.2 & a cable modem.

I have tried several versions of the Limewire download, including the no VM version. I have also turn off fax extensions as suggested. I have tried installing Limewire with Ethernet & all other connections unplugged as suggested.

I can get so far as instaling the program with some errors. It begins to run, but then I get blank or incomplete windows.

When I had the problem of blank windows, it was due to a memory problem.

Try: Click on the LimeWire Application (don't open)
and go to: File > Get Info and increase the programs memory.

I put mine to 64000 as I've read that's what it needs (though it uses up to 100 MB at a time). Others have posted that 5500 is enough. It will still use more.

Give it a try and let me know if more memory helps.

Also, if you have other applications open and LimeWire leaves its window blank, quitting another application should fix the memory problem. It doesn't seem to matter which other application you quit; LimeWire just needs more memory somewhere.
