Default well that didn't work

You said you fixed the fatal error?

I just downloaded LimeWire from the Pro page and yet again the error occurs:

Unable to locate the application's 'main' class. The class 'com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.Main' must be public and have a 'public static void main(String[])' method. (LAX)

So.. nothing is fixed. It's the same error message I've been getting since I tried to upgrade. I no longer have a working version of LimeWire. I was running LimeWire Pro on Mac OS 9.2.2... The same problem that's been happening all weekend. I've installed, uninstalled, rebooted and redownloaded the program several times, and on each and every occasion since killing my old version with the upgrade the error occurs. I have been unable to use my nice LimeWire Pro version I got to support this fine service...

Adam,

If the version on LW's site is the new 2.7.8, not only is the Java error present, but the old Non Fatal Translater Settings error is back.

You're correct. I made a really silly mistake when building that version -- my apologies. 2.7.9 will be up in about half an hour with the fix.

Thanks, Adam.

We posted at the same time, did you see my note about the Non Fatal Translator Settings error coming back?

Additional Notes: ERROR - class com.limegroup.install.SettingsTranslator

everything else was a sucessful install... Except for the fact it still doesn't work

Thumbs down Still having the same problem

Please see every other post I've made about this subject. It still doesn't work. I am still getting the same error message, my install log still looks like the one posted above. AND yes, after visiting my PRO upload page and download what it says is version 2.7.9 I still have no access to LimeWire...

I have been getting the same error massage since being told to upgrade. Nothing has worked for days.

Thumbs down Same Problem

Same Problem as everyone else...unfortunately I deleted my older version of Limewire, and couldn't retrieve it using Norton utilities. Does anyone have the installer for the older version?

I emailed Limewire about this last week and...surprise....no response...
