Default upload monitor says can't find file and transfer interrupted

I'm trying to be nice and let people upload my files. I see on the monitor that next to some files is the message 'unable to locate file' and some 'transfer interrupted.' Then there's the message complete but it looks like there's not 100% showing. Does this mean people are unable to upload?

No, that does not mean you can't upload, there is a problem with the display. It might show you misleading information. The next version should fix this.

Unhappy

What's wrong with my computer? I have all my files in iTunes and my 'library' is complete. Just got a phone call from a friend: half-way through a down-load it stops. I said I'm getting the reverse: half-way through an upload it stops. Do you know when the upgraded version of LW will be available and how do you know it'll be improved? Do you know something no one else knows?

I don't know, it's your computer after all.

It will be released next week I think. Since LimeWire is open-source everybody can look at the changes the developers make.

Yes, but I won't tell.

Hey trap_jaw - you seemed to be in the know regarding computers that's why I asked. Am being patient, able to download after a few days (!) and have more important things to think about and will close LW until they can get their act together.

My sense is, you make a mistake by seeking help from those running the board. For the most part they seem so wrapped up in themselves and lording their 'command of computerese' over the great unwashed masses, they forget what the real issues are, namely wide-spread user frustration.
Give us a program that responds to our anguish, not responses that mock our anguish.

You are right. To paraphrase: Give someone the tired, poor,
frustrated masses yearning to understand Limewire
The wretched refuse of Napster users.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to some kind soul
and not some pompous computer confusers...

Add me to the list of those who feel suckered. Take a look at http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...hreadid=19205.

BTW--I'm not yet ready to blame trap_jaw. I read his closer as a jab at the Pro support, but I'm a sucker.
