![]() I use a Mac G4 with Mac OS 9.2. When I download a mp3-File with LimeWire, it is saved with a QuickTime icon. So, by a doubleclick on the file, QuickTime starts. But I want that the file is saved with an iTunes-icon, that the file always directly starts with iTunes. Somebody can help me? Greetings from Switzerland, Jo |

![]() Greetings from Canada Musicmaker. It does not seem to matter what the icon is in your 'download' folder. If you drag the icon from your downloaded QT file into your "playlist" in iTunes, then iTunes will convert it. The file will then be usable directly by iTunes. Some of my QT files change their icon on their own to mp3, some do not. I don't know why but they all play directly from iTunes. One of the perks of it being a QT file is that it retains the original name of the song if your down loaded file name does not. Mac g4 sys 9.04 limewire 2.8.5 iTunes 1.1 laronge |
