Default Some files choose LimeWire as the opening application?

I've downloaded several program files. However, some will refer to LimeWire when I try to open them. Stuffit can't expand them and no other application is offered as an alternative. As far as I know, LimeWire cannot open files. Are these downloads just dead on arrival? Or is there some work-around method to open these files? Thanks.

Cool

Hello!

First you have to update to the latest version of Stuffit Expander which is 7.X. Your older Stuffit version will not be able to open files that was compressed with a newer version of Drop Stuff then your Stuffit Expander.

Another thing that you have to do is the following:

After the download is complete drag it out of the shared folder to your desktop and drop it there for a second or two. Then drop it ontop of the Stuffit Expander alias icon on your desktop and it should expand.

Are you sure you have downloaded a genuine application installer?

There is alot of spamfiles out there. the file size is usually the most important thing to check out. If it is smaller then it should be then it is just junk.

I have Stuffit Deluxe 6.5. The program is Avid Xpress and is 17.9 MB. I will try the ugrade on the Stuffit first. If that works - I thank you ahead of time. If not - I'll be back bugging you!
