Limewire 2.9.6 won't install
 

Currently running Limewire 2.8.6. When I attempt to install limewire 2.9.6 I get the following error message:
The application program "LimeWire_Installer" could not be opened because an error of type -199 occurred

Limewire 2.9.6 won't install
 

Should have added:
I am on a Rev B iMac 160 Mbyte RAM running MacOS 8.6

hmmm-- Error -199 is a Resource Manager Errors (other than I/O) ="mapReadErr Map inconsistent with operation" according to an old Apple Error Codes '98 I have. Don't know what it means--Is your stuffit up to date? Any chance disk space was limited during the download, causing an overly fragmented download?

btw, 2.9.7 fixed some mac problems, so maybe a fresh download will unstuff properly. Do post back--sounds unusual.

2.9.7 did the trick. I must of downloaded 2.9.6 the day before 2.9.7 was released.

2.9.8 is available. Download it.

Also unable to install 2.9
 

I am also unable to install 2.9.8. When I try to launch the Limewire installer, I get the message "This installer file contains a corrupt zip archive..."

I'm running OS 9.2.2

Upgrade stuffit?
