Angry Limewire won't install

I have tried to install Limewire so many times, I've lost count! I can download the program, but when I click to install it, it freezes my computer. I have MAC OS 8.6, and I have tried the downloads for 8.6 and the older version. They both download fine, but freeze my computer when I try to install it. I even downloaded MRJ 2.2.5 as suggested on your site. I am using an ethernet connection if that makes a difference. I know that other people in my building have been able to download your program, so someone please tell me what to do with it!

Default install os-9.2.2 and new limewire

os8.6 does not have alot in it concerning today`s standards and is obsolete as far as the computer world is concerned. i would consider updating to os 9.2.2 if at all possible. apple is making all new computers eccept the Emac to not run in the old os format as a start up disk. so os 9 may be hard to come by , hope this helps.

Default 8.6

9.2 is 8.6 with extras all those are to enable running classic from the OSX platform. 8.6.1 is stable and is everybit as supported by apple as is 9.2.2 .
In fact if you are not running OSX and classic but just old MacOS then anything above 9.1 is useless.

The problems with LimWire 2.9.11 for MacOS is with the installer seems there is a class file missing that not even the latest version of MRJ from Apple will have.

Lets not spread obsolescence.

John
