![]() Limewire installs ok. When I launch a window appears saying something like: Setup wizard will now help you set up blah, blah, blah. Trouble is thats all it says and there are no buttons or options or anything. I have to force quit the application. I've tried re-downloading but the same thing keeps happening. I have ran limewire fine in the past on the same machine. I am on a G4 running OS 9.1. |

![]() I've had the same problem with LimeWire 3.0.1; Mac G3; OS 9.2.2. LimeWire USED to work GREAT. Then I had a BUG REPORT. I sent it in. Shortly thereafter LimeWire stopped showing buttons on it's main window, such as SEARCH, DOWNLOAD, RESUME, etc. I reinstalled LimeWire Free; LW Pro 3.0.1; LW Beta all with the SAME result: the Welcome Wizard appears with no buttons to click. I press ESC and the program quits. I ran Tech Tool on my System which reported no problems. I followed LW Pro tech support's instructions to trash all installers; uninstall LW and ReStart. Downloaded the installer again; reinstalled. Same result: UNWELCOME WIZARD. I'm going to try installing LimeWire Pro 3.2.2. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with this problem. But I DO wonder if Mac OS has become corrupted somehow. The problem persists through countless restarts and fresh installs. I was planning to reinstall my OS go get rid of it. Let us know if your fresh install of 3.2.1 or 3.2.2 works. Thanks |

![]() I too just upgraded to pro and now I can't get the program to launch. It appears to be a java-related error. All other components installed ok, but I found this in the install log: Install Java LAX file: lax.jar Status: FATAL ERROR Additional Notes: FATAL ERROR - Failure to install Java LAX file for LaunchAnywhere: lax.jar When I try to launch now, I get this message: Unable to launch java application. The main class "com/zerog/lax/LAX" could not be loaded. Either it is not in the classpath or has a static initializer that uses a class not in the classpath. I hope the last guy is wrong about the OS being corrupted (9.2.2). Does anyone have any clues if there is a simple way to correct this. ![]() |
