Verifying File Content!!!!!!!!!!!!

So whats up with Limewire pro on my Mac OS 9 taking 15 times longer to verify a file than it took me to downoad it???? Can I turn file verification off? I download a program of about 80 mb in size. With my DSL it took like 20-30 mins to download. Its been an hour since it finished downloading and its not even half way done with verifying???? REDICULOUS!!!!!! AND ITS PISSING ME OFF!!!!!!!!!! Am I the only one this is happening too??? WHY?

I too have DSL. My connection is closer to T1 as it runs at 150mbps. I can't DL a 700 MB file for anything. I can't remember the last time I sucessfully DLed a file from Limewire that was that large. As a matter of fact, I just plain gave up. It was so hard to get a straight answer from folks about what to do. I have a dynamite machine PIV 3.0 Gig and can't DL anything. When you do a search for a file, what is with all this porno garbage that comes up? I don't care to see a girl strapped to a pole, naked, getting beat up! come on. If someone is looking for, for example, Patton, then that is what should show up, not porno sexy nurses. There, I have blown off my steam and frustration. I hope someone reads this. Someone might even read it and reply in terms I can understand. Ya'll have a nice day now, ya hear!
