Thumbs down system failure at each attempt to install

I am kinda sorry I purchased this at all. Each time I try to install the installer my computer crashes. The forum messages others have left don't seem to help much. Maybe I should have tried the basic first. Is there any way i can get my money back since it doesn't work for me?

Which mac os do you have? If you're using OS9 make sure you have the most recent version of java for os9. Likewise for osx. It sounds like you need to check your computer (OSX repair permissions & do a safe boot.) For os9, rebuild your desktop & defragment your hdd. Also check your disks over with a file/disk utility such as norton/DiskWarrior/TechTool Pro, etc. A corrupted directory can cause major issues when trying to do anything.

Unhappy

See - this is all way out of my scope. I don't know hao to do any of that stuff and nobody tells you BEFORE you spend $18 on this. taat you need to check all that stuff. I am just sorry I did. Now what can I do? I'll happily give up on this project, but I feel I should either get something for my money - or get it back. I have OS 9.2 and I don't know if I have Java.

You will have Java. The question is which version. To be sure, dwnld the last OS9 version http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=75097
To rebuild your desktop, restart your comp & hold down both Command+Option keys until you receive a message & press yes to rebuild desktop. Open Apple's Disk First Aid (found in your applic & utilities folder) & check your HDD for any problems. Repair anything it says. If you're still having a problem after this, try the beta pro version. Pro users can download it from their personal download page. Alternatively, dwnld the free version & see if that makes a difference. Good luck.

No you can't get refunds on softw's after purchasing, particularly if it was dwnlded.
