If you're using mac OSX then I'd recommend VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site)
You can see its abilities here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html
To make it your default, select the file, go to File menu -> Get Info & select VLC to open it & choose always. Once it's your default, you can use the Launch button in LW. Otherwise open it directly from the downld folder. Go to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link) Then drag & drop it onto VLC or double-click it if you made it your default. Personally I have VLC as default for some video formats & QT as default for a couple of others.

If you're using OS 8 or 9 then probably XinePlayer or QuickTime though you'd need extra plug-ins for QT.

I'm not sure how I indicated I'm using MAC I am using windows XP. Thanks for your quick reply

lol Well, the same is true. VLC will do the trick for you. VLC has in-built codecs so there's nothing to worry about there with finding the right codec. To make it the default, see Setting Default video app though it'll probably ask when you install it anyway.

I hate to keep bothering you however I cant get the movie to launch. I have never tried to download movies before. Thanks for your patients

It may mean a problem with that particular file. Try opening outside of LW. By default your downld folder is here (unless you located it somewhere else): C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared
So direct VLC to open it from there or where your downlds go. Even move it out of your downld folder if necessary if you're not sure. What is the extension on the file?

Oh I can't remember, I'm not sure if changing default takes immediate effect or you need to relaunch LW.

I don't know where my shared folders are. I have a shared video folder, but there isn't anything in it

Look in your LW Library window. The Saved Files will be there. Do as hinted above & use the Explore button.
