1. Make sure LW is set to use Java 1.5 Setting up Java 1.5. 2. Do a safe boot & repair permissions. ie: reboot whilst holding down the shift key until you see Safe booting message. After it's started up, go to Utilities folder, open Disk Utility & choose Repair Permissions. Then reboot normally & try LW again. Repairing of permissions is a normal maintenance activity that should be done after installing system updates & programs. |

ok im downloading the first step! on the second step "reboot while holding the shift key" do u mean to hold the on/off key andshift or just hold down the shift key untill it goes off? or just shut down (apple icon) while holding shift?? (kinda rookie here) |

Choose restart, hold down SHIFT key only as it begins to reboot. BTW a safe boot can take considerably longer to start up than a normal restart. Once you see the window showing safe booting you can take your finger off the shift key. More details here SAFE Boot & Repair Permissions |
