Damn it - every time I download using 2.2 pro I end up getting Laserwriter 8500 documents saved in my downloaded music folder. The files appear as mp3s in Limewire but when they end up on my computer they're Laserwriter files and I can't open them. What the hell is going on? |

audio and the Mac Sorry I can't help, since I can't even start a search much less download. How do you do it? I have spent countless hours trying to follow the "USESR'S GUIDE" but no avail. I haven't been able to find a place to tpe in what searach I want. The "SEARCH TAB" is only a replica of what one could look like, I can't find a place to ype my info in. I wrote LIMEWIRE in Nov. and was told to got to the web page for info; they completely ignored the fact that I wrot them prcisely becasuse the webpage didn't do the job. What do I do after I do the following: 1) log in or register, ) click on Gnutella Forums, 3) Click oon LimeWIre cross platform? I have typed in the blank on "Search Forum" and have gotten something like"nothing found." I can't believe nothng is avvailable for the following artists: S*m C*oke, The B**tles, and Fr*nk S*n*tra. There must be something I am doing wrong. HELP!! Lime Wire won't! SHoJonz __________________________________________________ Edited to comply with the House Rules. For the first two posts see <http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...&threadid=6616>. For the post after them, you're confusing the search engines. The search you were using covers the Gnutella Forums posts and not what is on Gnutella. To search for that open LimeWire and enter your query under the Search tab. |

Thank you for your prompt reply, and I sincerely appreciate your attempt to help me. I don't understand why the com[pany won't. I t does not surpise me that I am confusing something since I have no idea what I am doing, mainly because there is nothing that tells me, and because I have been unable to get the companies to help. What does it mean that LimeWire is a Gnutella "client?" Why can't I log-in and search on LimeWire with my Gnutella username and password if Limewire is a Gnutella client. Why can't I log-on and serach Gnutella using a LimeWire username and password if LimeWire is a Gnutlla. My quest started many months ago and I gave up for a time but recently resumed it. Is there any reason - any advantage to having access to both Gnutella and LimeWire? Should I eliminate - deregister - with one? If so, how? Thanks. H |
