Connecting

Has anyone been able to solve the connecting problem yet?? I watch my poor teenage son try day after day to download his music only in vain as the screen freeze's on him. Poor baby is so frustrated! He would love to find a new place to download his stuff! All year he never had a problem, and the last two months have been a pain for him! What is the answer???
