Default Limewire is slowing down my G4 Cube

I have limewire pro and it has been working great. Until yesterday when I noticed that whenever limewire is open all my other apps including limewire respond very slowly.Limewire also began to load alot slower than it did before.

Like I said it worked great then began to slow up and just respond sluggish I couldn't scroll after search results were posted or if I could it would move very slowly.

My mouse pointer is also doing things I've never seen before and then I am not even able to force quit.

I am running on OS 10.2.4 maybe that is the problem I don't know

why does this happen?

please help

thankyou
