err: saving pref.filetype
 

My MP3 downloads are saving themselves as limewire doc.s and will not open up in itunes or quicktime. How can I tell them to save in a readable format??????????

If you use OSX, just click on one of the files from the Finder, Get Info, and open the"Open with" option to change the default.

I can't remember what other posters have said about the same problem in OS 8-9, but it's in these forums somewhere.
