def_01 is flying high
Question (UMW) .avi movies won't play
I have downloaded many .avi movies with no issues. They are mainly (SMR) type, but recently I have dowloaded some with a preference of (UMW).

The Mac software, Divx Player, won't play these ones. Yet they play on a PC fine (With the SMR patch installed) using Mediaplayer.

Anyone have an idea how to play these on a Mac.

Which version of Windows Media Player do you have?

DivX player actually needs WMP version 6.3. If you installed the newer 7.0 version, it won't work.
