Default Aimster beta is fantastic!!!

Aimster is cool. Download here and see the screen shots of it and see the benefits of switching over. So far, after installing, it is stable and downloading nicely. I have emailer on, netscape browsing and Aimster is just doing what it should in the background.

Yes, I like Aimster too. It's quite a bit like Napster. I found two problems though:

Joining channels crashes the program EVERY TIME. But I can live without the channels.

However a worse problem is that there just aren't enough users. I never find what I'm looking for and even if I do, the files aren't downloadable, because there's a queue, which usually is very long and slow.

So unfortunately I don't get much out of Aimster for the moment. On Gnutella there's a lot to be found so I guess I have to put up with Mactella until something better comes out.

Cool Aimster is great

I have tried everything from Limewire to Mactella to Phex to Napster. I tried allocating more RAM, but they all crash or freeze. Let's face it, Macs are great but the availability of a good file sharing program is horrible. I just downloaded Aimster and it seems to be working great. As for the availalbility of files, I found some pretty obscure stuff, so I think it will work great for me. Try this one out, I think I can finally stop stressing. Yay for Aimster!!!!

yes, now i use aimster as well, but i had a much easier time finding files on limewire, until it stopped connecting. aimster's the best thing i can use now, but if anyone finds out what's with that -39 error (in the limewire installer), i'd be VERY happy.
