says i'm connected, but search doesn't work
 

i just started having trouble with mactella and limewire recently. i am connected to my college's network, and just about a month ago, i started having connection trouble. limewire won't connect at all. but when i start up mactella, after about 10 seconds it says i'm connected, but when i type in something to search, nothing comes up. could it be something about a firewall or something? i don't really know how all of that stuff works. all i know is that i want to get connected again so i can download stuff.
