![]() Morpheus 1.3.3 was absolutely great. Then the Preview Edition came along and I found that I often couldn't connect. Even when I did connect there were few files available for downloading. I've downloaded the install file for Morpheus 1.9 but when I run it a message says 'Corrupt installation file.' LimeWire is OK but still doesn't offer nearly the number of files for downloading that Morpheus 1.3.3 did. My questions are these - (1) Is there any reason I'm getting the error 'Corrupt installation file' when installing Morpheus 1.9 (2) If I continue using the Preview Edition is there some configuration change I can make to ensure a connection and increase the number of files available for downloading. It was suggested in the FAQ's to increase the port number (currently 6346) but how do I know what port numbers are valid. Thanks very much for any suggestions. |

![]() There is really no reason for you to use Morpheus. You might not know that since the PE edition, Morpheus uses outdated source code of another client called Gnucleus. Gnucleus is completely ad-free and spyware-free, and performs much better in terms of connectivity, searching and downloading. Give it a try. http://www.gnucleus.net/ |
