4.7 preview - includes bitTorrent and further gnutella conformance with LW 1 Attachment(s) Hi all, Morpheus 4.7 is here! It has a ton a lot new features and tons of fixes, the largest being BitTorrent Integration. ;) here are the high level changes: • BitTorrent integration, support for initiating multiple .torrents and much more • NEOnet technology, multi-filename support & support for searching .torrents shared by new clients • gnucDNA update to 1.1.1.3, continued conformance with other gnutella client standards. • Multiple bug fixes and UI optimizations (load time, searches cpu usage, etc.) • see attached notes for a more detailed change log You can try it out by clicking the below link, feedback welcome! http://dl.morpheus.com/?ver=beta |
:o Wow another network !!! :o There are better gnutella compliant P2P clients @ www.limewire.com www.bearshare.com/lite Edit: so you have stolen your BT implementation from who? gIFT (they are GPL), mlDonkey (already bundled with Morpheus), another opensource client (official BT, azureus, tomato, Bitcomet) or a self brew implementation (unlikely)? |

Gracias Backman, at least it is a good BT implementation.... |

LW connects to 3 UPs then to 1 when the computer is idle for 30 minutes  Great Gnutella knowledge Risky... |

Right on, you guess right! It is the behavior of the Pro version. The Pro version is made to make money for LW and does not help the network with the extra connections. 95% of users are using regular LW, so LW behavior in general is 3 UP and 1 idled. Now when are you gonna merge emule code into your frankenstein app? What about Direct connect? Openfasttrack? They all have GPL code available. Hey you already leech, what about including more nonsense? hahahahaha :D |

As far as leeching, I seem to recall you always coming up with specific incompatability problems with Morpheus. Each time, you come up with some, they are either already fixed for the next version, or are being worked on. I'm convinced if you did any actual comparative analysis of Morpheus and other clients, you'd find that Morpheus works great most of the time. Take a look at the BitTorrent integration - I think you'll like what you find. |
The difference between you and Gnucleus is the number of network you connect, this is no contest that you win and that sucks for the networks you connect too. I still don't see Morpheus results while they try to dl from me and pop up as peers and leaves when running UP. I also looked at BT and it WOULD be great if you weren't multinet!!! I mean I can already dl and use the official BT client... LOL, better luck next time ( as if you didn't had enough chances  , a pity) |

Now that's the usual BS you serve me, I thought we discussed about that earlier in PMs  You are plain wrong, you are wasting my time as usual ------ Here are the PM of january 5th Risky wrote on 01-05-2005 11:33 AM: So I understand how not seeing GnucDNA results can be worrying, but this goes both ways. When I use Morpheus, most search results (which mostly come from NEOnet) represent other Morpheus clients, and in downloads, most transfers are from other Morpheus clients. I think the reason you see this in search is because most clients, including Morpheus, favor their own clients as children, so Morpheus clients aren't reached as often in searches, and hence comprise only a small minority of search results. Also, in download meshes, in theory, on average, the ratio of clients should reflect their respective popularity, so even if Morpheus downloaded from all clients independant of their brand, you could claim they were 'leeching' simply because they are in the minority, when in fact they are probably contributing relative to the fraction of the network they make up. Do you disagree? I'd be curious to hear you -- Re: GnucDNA 1.1.1.3 Gnucleus 2.0.6.0 by:me I agree that the first results in Morpheus come from Neonet and that usually the user select those results to download. However, few seconds after that, Gnet results come in and the GnucDNA engine uses those sources to swarm from them. Even if you connect in GnucDNA clusters, most Gnet results (all?) come from LW, BS and RAZA. I noticed that when running LW in UP mode, I see as much Morpheus leaves then Shareaza leaves. I always get results from Shareaza, never from GnucDNA unless I target my searches to find some (one rare word in any type of search). I made my mind long ago about that behavior... I can't figure GnuDNA people never figured that out. What are you waiting.. more than 50 % of marketshare to see the effects and people switching network? You should be happy to still get loyal trolls like Vampmon that spread your word (on that troll, he always tells us the next version solves all problems and is better than slice bread ---lololol---) -------- |

People are almost sick of you ... you go on about how other people are a troll, yet you are the only troll. You are only just-about accepted on this forum, I’ve seen on other forums, such as Shareaza that they don't take your bullshit, no one else will accept your **** except here. Soon enough they will get tired of you. I've posted the proof over in the LimeWire section that Morpheus & GnucDNA [Gnucleus] does not leech, yet you still persist in being a troll, move on dude your act is old. I’m tried of it, everyone is. I have many other screenshots of LimeWire 4.4.2, 4.4.1, 4.4.0 uploading from me, i just haven't posted them. Same with BearShare and i get LOADS of Shareaza' uploads too. |
Where were you Vampmon, I missed you terribly  Don't forget to bring me chocolates and flowers on the 14th :D |

Nice crawler TJ :) Why aren't bearshare nodes counted? Ciao |
Where does Aquisition get counted? Is it included within LW stats or is it so small it doesn't even register. OR is it a leecher. lol :D |

There might still be a larger number of Morpheus hosts that is connected to BearShare ultrapeers and a few thousands connected to GnucDNA ultrapeers, although few of those actually accept incoming connections. |

Beside Morph being untrusty, profitor and multinetwork, I have positive things to say about the 4.7 release over 4.6: 1) The creative commons stuff built into NEO is great! cc: searches work. 2) I finally managed to get results and downloads from a Morph4.7 in my tests audio queries done in LimeWire, wouhou! (GnucDNA 1.1.1.4 is released BTW) Ciao |
