Multiple File-save Locations Why don't you guys do something that no other file-sharing client has done (to my knowledge)? I download more than just mp3's. I also use the video and program download features a ton. I'm a very organized individual, and I hate it that I can designate only one location for file-saving. It gets pretty tedious when I have to change the location back and forth based on whatever I'm downloading. You may already be working on this, but I seriously doubt I'm the first person to see the need for this feature. I would like to compliment your team (while I have your attention) on LimeWire Pro. It is by far the most user-friendly, best-looking, and most intuitive file-sharing client I've ever used. Thanks guys |
I'm with you on that one! I was hoping to see something like that also! mahalo. |
Well, I like mp3's, I am NOT a music guru. I can not tell a bit of difference between an mp3 at say 64 bitrate and one of say 128. I acknowlege that some folks may, but my ears are just not that effective. I can tell a difference at lower that 64 however, and this is where I am going with this thread. Every mp3 I download, and convert to 64 bitrate. Since I personally can not tell the difference, it saves HD space. I use a converter that in one pass will 1) convert bitrate 2) normalize volume (if more than one file is converted) 3) move the file to a directory of your choice 4) delete the source file. So, I can remove the file from the shared Limewire folder, place it into my music folder, convert the bitrate, and normalize the volume all at once. While I realize most want 128 bitrate, I do not have the problems mentioned in the above posts anymore. |
so you are not sharing either!? or did you add your music folder to your share folder list? be a good citizen! |
Sorry! Yes, I do share. My music folder is always shared, so when I move the files into the music folder, all of the community get the benefits of my labor albeit only the 64 bitrate version. |
way to go! mahalo |
