New Feature Requests Your idea for a cool new feature. Or, a LimeWire annoyance that has to get changed. |

![]() Aimster (RIP) used to have a feature that was nice. You could browse the shared files of a connected user who was downloading from you or that you found a nice file (and speed) that was interesting. It seems that you could do this with the Gnutella protocol Thanks |

![]() I couldn't agree more, when I thought even to look in here, it was the first thing on my mind. If and when I find a connection with speed. I would like to be rewarded and them alike with the ability to see, anything else do they got maybe something I need. Great Idea Identified RION P. |

![]() Agreed. This is the number one thing I miss about Napster. It was key to collecting certain obscuro albums that escaped mainstream attention. You could usually find a true collecter with little effort and start looking into getting items from them. I very much want this feature. I haven't even bothered putting up my collection since I gave up on Napster because no one can browse it and grab what the need all at once. I feel that some of the reason why the content on Gnutella networks is so much less rich than that on Napster has to do with the uselessness of the clients for collectors. I just went looking today for other Gnutella clients for Mac OS X that had that feature and turned up a complete blank. The one client I found that had it (Plex) returned poorer search results than LimeWire and was fixed to Netscape as its browser of systems. (I don't have Netscape 4.7 any more, so no luck using the feature.) If LimeWire got this feature, I'd pay for it. |

![]() I purchased a Pro version of LimeWire today ... to help further support the development of the software. The best way to discover new types of music is to find someone with similar music interests and visit their share directory and browse all of the files. This is an essential feature that LimeWire desperately needs. Napster had it, Kaaza has it, LimeWire should too! This should be a high priority. Go Developers! |
